Leah is a Senior Registered Nurse with advanced qualifications in cosmetic aesthetics and is also a registered nurse prescriber. With over 6 years of experience in managing patients undergoing major surgery, Leah has developed a strong interest in lymphatic drainage, women’s health, digestion issues, and post-operative water retention. Recognising the importance of holistic care, she now specialises in these areas to offer tailored wellbeing and wellness-focused solutions for her clients.

As a medically trained practitioner and experienced skin specialist, Leah combines clinical knowledge with a passion for enhancing natural beauty. Her services go far beyond injectables, Glowing By Leah offers a full spectrum of treatments, including advanced skin therapies, wellness support, post-surgical care, and personalised skin health programmes.

In addition to her hands-on expertise, Leah has successfully established a training academy, offering 1-1 sessions designed to give aspiring professionals the knowledge, confidence, and clinical insight needed to succeed in today’s aesthetics industry. Her commitment to education reflects her drive to deliver exceptional standards and stay at the forefront of modern aesthetics and skincare.

Leah founded ‘Aesthetics By Leah’ in June 2018 after training with DeJaVu Training Academy. Her growing passion for cosmetic treatments, skin health, and client wellbeing led to the expansion of her business, opening practices in Andover, Stroud, Dursley, and Liverpool. With a broader offering and vision, Leah rebranded as ‘Glowing By Leah’, a name that reflects her commitment to helping clients feel radiant, healthy, and confident.

From Louise;

As someone who loves to learn, I have really enjoyed widening my knowledge and skills when it comes to face and body treatments.  For example, how important it is to look at the body as a whole and to achieve homeostasis in order for all bodily functions to work in harmony rather than focusing on/treating symptoms. It’s very different from the medical model that I have been working with in my nursing role in acute medicine.

I have especially enjoyed learning about the lymphatic system and the role it plays with so many bodily functions such as immunity, fluid level maintenance, digestion and detoxing. I incorporate lymphatic drainage into my face and body treatments to enhance their benefits.  Treatments such as traditional Thai reflexology stimulate specific reflex points on the soles of the feet which correspond to the internal organs of the body, releasing blocked Sen lines and activate the body’s natural healing mechanisms, resulting in the whole body working in harmony physically, emotionally and spiritually.

I have been amazed at what I have learnt from the intra oral massage, we carry so much tension in our jaw without even realising, this tension affects our posture, the shape of our face and our emotional wellbeing. Not only does this massage release tension in the head, neck and jaw, it can change the shape of your face as well as release trapped emotions. It also stimulates lymphatic drainage. Lastly, I have really loved learning about the body’s ability to heal itself using platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy with the benefits ranging from skin and hair rejuvenation to speeding up healing wounds and arthritic joints. To be able to achieve these benefits with your own blood rather than using medicine is just amazing. I will never stop learning about the wonders of the human body and what it is capable of.

Hi, I’m Lisa……. registered nurse, part-time advanced clinical practitioner, prescriber, aesthetics practitioner, mum to a 16-year-old boy and a 5-year-old labrador (he’s my favourite of the two), full-time clothes washer and odd sock finder, coffee addict, chatter, hiker, amateur photographer, 80s and 90s music enthusiast, Tina Turner dance move extraordinaire, gin lover, cheese fanatic, one-liner deliverer, dirty laugh owner, meme queen, Catfish (I look like an extra from Shameless when I’m out walking the dog), over sharer, walking honesty box, understated, introverted extrovert, unfiltered girl next door.

I take a professional but down-to-earth approach to my work. I bring years of nursing experience along with Advanced Practice Master’s level education, which focuses on evidence-based practice, high standards and safety… complemented by a no-jargon, authentic approach. I will ensure you are listened to, informed, relaxed and feeling great! As someone who was very late to the skincare and aesthetics world (I did not start any basic skin care regimen until I was 38, and had my first aesthetics treatment- anti-wrinkle injections at 41), I completely understand the fear and confusion surrounding treatments. I do not believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder…. I believe that beauty is in how YOU feel, and that’s all that matters. An ethical, honest approach which considers and supports your well-being is therefore at the forefront of every consultation I do. I am a passionate, perfectionist … passionate about instilling confidence, and allowing you to talk through your specific concerns, the knowledge to make informed choices about treatments, and the time you deserve to invest in yourself. I take a ‘less is more’ approach, promoting rejuvenation and radiance over radical change. My absolute favourite treatments are hyaluronic skin boosters! I love the fresh, radiant look that skin boosters achieve, and the hydration they provide whilst not ‘changing’ any unique features. I have been having these for the last 2 years and would now never be without them!
