Before And Aftercare
Before treatment
- Fresh skin and no make up.
- Immediately after treatment
- A layer of serum will be applied. Please leave this on for a few hours post procedure to maximise absorption of ingredients.
Post treatment
- Please refrain from touching the skin with your hands until the pores have closed. Do not pick or pull the skin. Any redness should decrease over 24 hours.
- Wash the skin 6 hours after and apply a hydrating moisturiser
- Expect the skin to feel right up to 6 days after treatment.
- You can return to normal skin regimes after 72 hours.
- Do not use alcohol-based products for 10 days.
- It is advised to allow the skin to settle before applying Makeup. Mineral is better but the longer you leave your skin to settle the better so it gives it time to breathe.
- Don’t scrub and only pat dry.
- Mild skin care products should be used until redness has subsided.
- Use an intense hydrating moisturiser for a week after treatment.
- Rigorous exercise should be avoided for at least 12 hours.
- Refrain from saunas, sunbeds etc for 2 weeks.
- Use SPF 30 wherever you can.
- Avoid electrolysis, waxing etc for 72 hours on your face.
- You cannot swim in chlorinated water for 2 weeks.
What To Expect After Treatment
First Stage, Day 1 – Some redness is normal, the severity will depend on the deepness of the needle or the strength of the peel used.
Day 2 – You will see a pinkish colour that can persist like a mild sunburn, the skin may feel tight.
Moving forward, Day 3-5 – Your skin will feel dry, I recommend a serum morning and night as well as a bursting moisturiser ideally one with hyaluronic acid.
Getting there, Day 5 – This is when the healing process begins and collagen production gets to work.
