Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Advanced Treatments to Smooth, Lift & Rejuvenate.

Fine Lines & Wrinkles

Anti-Ageing Treatments

Expertly crafted to soften the appearance of lines and wrinkles, our anti-ageing treatments are tailored to help you achieve smoother, more youthful-looking skin. By addressing the visible signs of ageing at their source, these targeted treatments promote natural rejuvenation with subtle, long-lasting results.

How Anti-Ageing Injections Work

Using advanced techniques, we offer a combination of injectable treatments that work to refresh and revitalise your appearance:

  • Collagen Support: Encouraging the skin’s natural collagen production for firmer, more resilient skin.

  • Improved Hydration: Enhancing skin texture, plumpness, and elasticity.

  • Targeted Muscle Relaxation: Gently softening expression lines, such as crow’s feet and frown lines, for a smoother, refreshed look.

These effects work together to create a natural-looking result, never frozen or overdone, just a fresher version of you.

Many factors influence ageing, and one of the most significant stages is menopause. During this time, falling oestrogen levels can accelerate visible ageing by:

Reducing collagen and elastin – leading to thinner, less resilient skin.

Lowering hydration levels – causing dryness, dullness, and fine lines.

Altering fat distribution - can affect facial structure and skin firmness.

Slowing cell renewal – resulting in a loss of radiance and elasticity.

Our treatments are designed to help restore balance, supporting skin health and confidence through every stage of life.

In addition to aesthetic improvements, these injections are increasingly used to help with a range of medical and wellness concerns, including:

Tension Headaches and Migraines: By helping to reduce muscle tension in specific areas, treatment may alleviate the frequency and intensity of chronic headaches.

Jaw Tension & TMJ Symptoms: For those experiencing teeth grinding (bruxism) or jaw discomfort, injectable treatments may help relax overactive muscles and reduce strain.

Facial Tension: Certain facial tension patterns, often linked to stress, may be eased with targeted treatment, supporting both comfort and appearance.

If you’re unsure whether these treatments are right for you, we’re happy to offer a confidential consultation to explore your options and tailor a plan to your needs.

Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

Consultations are required to discuss the treatment of fine lines to:

  • Crows feet (eye wrinkles)
  • Brow
  • Frown lines
  • Nose (bunny lines)
  • Under arm sweating
  • Gummy smile
  • Upper lip
  • Cheeks
  • Chin
  • Décolletage and Breast area
  • Masseter muscle and teeth grinding

Underarm Sweating

Excessive underarm sweating, or hyperhidrosis, can occur even without typical triggers like increased body temperature. Our specialised underarm sweating injections offer a safe and effective solution, using a series of tiny injections to block nerve signals to the sweat glands.

This treatment utilises a toxin commonly used for wrinkle reduction, it is applied to the underarm area to reduce sweat production significantly. Initial results last between 3-6 months, and with repeated treatments, many clients experience extended relief of 6-12 months. Results can vary based on individual response, but regular treatments can help ensure long-lasting dryness and comfort.

Sculptra

Sculptra collagen
* A CONSULTATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE ANY ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENTS *

Sculptra is an injectable used primarily to restore facial volume and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid-based fillers, Sculptra is made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible substance that stimulates the body’s natural collagen production over time.

Benefits include:

  1. Gradual Results: Sculptra doesn’t provide instant results like some other fillers. Instead, it works over time by encouraging collagen regeneration, which leads to a more natural-looking, youthful appearance as the skin gradually becomes firmer and smoother.

  2. Long-Lasting Effects: Because it stimulates collagen production, the results of Sculptra can last up to 2 years or longer, depending on the individual.

  3. Volume Restoration: It’s especially effective in restoring volume to areas that have lost fullness due to aging, such as the cheeks, temples, jawline, and under the eyes.

  4. Non-Surgical: Sculptra is a non-invasive procedure, making it a popular choice for people looking to enhance facial volume without the need for surgery.

Treatment typically requires multiple sessions spaced several weeks apart to achieve optimal results. While it can provide noticeable improvements, the process is gradual and results evolve over a few months.

Sculptra’s main ingredient, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), is a synthetic, biocompatible substance that has been used in medical applications, including sutures, for decades. When injected into the skin, PLLA doesn’t provide instant volume like hyaluronic acid fillers (e.g., Juvederm or Restylane) but rather works by stimulating your body’s natural production of collagen. Collagen is a key structural protein in your skin that helps maintain its firmness and elasticity.

As we age, collagen production slows down, leading to sagging skin, wrinkles, and volume loss. Sculptra’s PLLA microparticles are absorbed by the body, and over several weeks to months, they encourage the production of new collagen. This process gradually restores volume and smooths out wrinkles.

Sculptra is commonly used to treat:

  • Cheeks and temples: Adds volume to sunken or hollow areas, creating a fuller, youthful appearance.
  • Nasolabial folds (smile lines): Reduces the appearance of deep lines running from the nose to the mouth.
  • Marionette lines: Softens lines running from the corners of the mouth to the chin.
  • Jawline and chin area: Helps improve the contour of the jaw and chin, giving a more defined look.
  • Treatment Process
  1. Consultation: During your initial consultation, a qualified injector will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals, and recommend the appropriate treatment plan.
  2. Injection: The treatment involves several small injections of Sculptra into targeted areas. The procedure is relatively quick, usually taking about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.
  3. Post-Treatment Care: There’s minimal downtime, and you can usually return to normal activities immediately. However, it’s recommended to massage the treated areas for a few days after the treatment to help distribute the product evenly.

  • Gradual Improvement: Sculptra’s results don’t appear immediately. You may notice subtle improvements over a few weeks as the collagen-building process takes effect. Full results typically become visible after 2-3 months.
  • Long-Lasting: Results can last up to two years or longer because of the collagen stimulation. However, the longevity of the results can vary based on individual factors, such as age, lifestyle, and how your skin naturally ages.

  • Natural-Looking Results: Since it stimulates your body’s own collagen production, Sculptra provides a more natural and gradual enhancement, avoiding the “overfilled” look that sometimes occurs with other fillers.
  • Non-Surgical Alternative: It’s an excellent option for people who want to improve their appearance without undergoing surgery, making it less invasive than facelifts or other surgical options.
  • Versatility: Sculptra can treat a variety of areas that show signs of volume loss, such as deep lines, hollow cheeks, or sagging jawlines. It’s also useful for people with early or moderate signs of aging.

  • Common Side Effects: These are usually mild and can include swelling, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. These typically resolve within a few days.
  • Lumps or Bumps: A rare but possible side effect is the formation of small lumps under the skin. Massaging the area after treatment and following your provider’s aftercare instructions can help minimize this risk.
  • Infection or Allergic Reaction: As with any injectable, there’s a slight risk of infection or an allergic reaction, though these are very uncommon.

  • Sculptra is best suited for individuals who are experiencing volume loss due to aging or who have relatively mild to moderate signs of aging. It’s ideal for those who:

  • Want gradual, natural-looking results.
  • Are looking to address areas with volume loss, such as the cheeks or temples.
  • Prefer a non-surgical option for facial rejuvenation.
  • Are in generally good health and have realistic expectations.

  • Unlike hyaluronic acid-based fillers (which add immediate volume and hydration), Sculptra’s focus is on stimulating collagen over time. Here’s a quick comparison:

  • Hyaluronic acid fillers (e.g., Juvederm, Restylane) provide instant results but typically last 6-18 months.
  • Sculptra, on the other hand, takes a few months to show full results but can last up to two years due to collagen production.
  • Sculptra is also more suited for people looking for overall facial volume restoration, while hyaluronic acid fillers are better for targeting specific wrinkles and fine lines.

  • To maintain the results, some patients choose to have touch-up treatments every 1-2 years, depending on how their skin responds to the treatment and how much collagen their body continues to produce.

In summary, Sculptra is a long-lasting, gradual injectable that restores volume by stimulating collagen production, making it a great option for people looking for subtle, natural results. While it requires patience for full results, it offers significant improvements that can last for years.

Before & Aftercare

Important Information

While I can provide you with solid advice, it’s important to remember that everyone is different. If you need further guidance, please feel free to contact me directly.

Pre-care Advice

  • Avoiding Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol 24 hours before your treatment.
  • Medication Avoidance: Avoid aspirin, fish oils, omega-3, and ibuprofen 48 hours before your treatment.
  • Facial Treatments: Steer clear of facial treatments, including micro-needling and peels, for 2 weeks before your filler treatment.

Swelling Management:

Minor swelling can last anywhere from a few hours to a day or longer, depending on various factors. If you feel like the effects have vanished after a week or two, it’s likely just the swelling that has subsided, not the filler.

Tips to Reduce Swelling:

  • Apply ice to the treated area.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
  • Focus on a healthy diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, which aid in the healing process.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and extreme temperatures for 24-48 hours after treatment.

Avoid:

  • Processed or fast foods
  • Heavy exercise for the first two days post-treatment
  • Excess salt consumption
  • Spicy foods
  • Blood-thinning medications, including aspirin and ibuprofen
  • Smoking and exposure to smoke

Post-treatment Care:

  • Avoiding Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol for 24 hours after treatment.
  • Sun Protection: Avoid sun exposure, including sunbeds, for 2 weeks post-treatment.
  • Smoking and Vaping: Avoid smoking and vaping for 4 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid Heavy Exercise: Steer clear of heavy exercise for 48 hours post-treatment.
  • Avoid Blood-thinning Medications: Refrain from blood-thinning medications for 48 hours.
  • Makeup Avoidance: Do not apply makeup for 12 hours following treatment.
  • Keep the Area Clean: Maintain cleanliness in the treated area.
  • Avoid Certain Treatments: Refrain from micro-needling, peels, and facial treatments for 2 weeks post-procedure.
  • Use of Arnica: Arnica cream and tablets can be used to reduce bruising.

Bruising and Swelling:

Bruising and swelling are common side effects of fillers. Expect increased swelling and bruising for the first 48-72 hours post-treatment. By day 14, swelling should have subsided, and lumps and bumps should reduce as the filler settles. If this is not the case, please contact me.
